There is brown tape to all four extreme outer edges. There are artist pinholes to the lower right corner.

There are one or two repaired tears to the lower left quadrant, with a further few repaired tears to the upper right quadrant, above the lake. One tiny apparent repaired paper loss to the upper left corner.

There is a small spot of paint lifting to the head of the seated figure in the right margin, with a further few lines to the left edge of the lake and some scattered lines to the horizon. There are two tiny pinprick indents to the child in the foreground's head and one further tiny indent to the head of the seated figure in pink. There are some minor localised areas of craquelure.

The sheet has yellowed beneath the frame to all four outer edges and there is surface dirt visible overall.

Examination under Ultra-Violet light reveals retouching to the aforementioned tears and paper loss. There are scattered tiny pinprick retouchings to all four outer edges, with some further tiny spots to the sky and lower centre left.
