Five Pieces of Virginia Sterling and Coin Silver Flatware, including Mitchell & Tyler
coin silver pieces to include: a flat handle master butter knife with mark of Charles F. Greenwood & Bros., Norfolk, active 1851-1904, with monogram(7 5/8 in.); a master butter knife pick with mark of Mitchell & Tyler, Richmond, active 1845-1866, with twist handle and engine turned and engraved foliate and floral designs, with monogram (7 1/2 in.); a shell sugar spoon with mark of Mitchell & Tyler, floral pattern to handle, without monogram (6 5/8 in.); a mustard ladle with mark of Mitchell & Tyler, without monogram (5 3/8 in.).
Also included is a sterling silver master butter knife with mark of Henry Silverthorn, active in Lynchburg (1837-1893), Roanoke (1889-1893), and also in Baltimore, Maryland (1835-1837), blade and handle with engraved and bright cut floral and lace pattern motifs, with monogram.
