Description
SOUTHERN MARQUETRY INLAID CABINET, applied cornice over hinged door with beveled glass mirror concealing a single removable shelf flanked by full-length columns, raised on cut-out feet with shaped front skirt. Poplar secondary wood. Retains an old surface with warm color. Discovered on the Tennessee and North Carolina border. First quarter 20th century. 22 3/4" H, 19 1/4" W, 10" D.
Catalogue Note: Acquired by the consigner from Elkins Antiques, Weaverville, North Carolina in 1997.
