JAMES RIVER, VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JUG, salt-glazed, approximately one gallon, slight ovoid form with ringed mouth and strap handle. Brushed cobalt tulip decoration to front, additional cobalt encircling handle terminals. Stephen B. Sweeney, Henrico Co., VA. 1838-1863. 11 3/4" HOA.
