A cased Victorian sterling silver strawberry set, London 1869 by Daniel and Charles Houle
Comprising a navette shaped sugar basket with an oval pedestal foot with an opposable beaded swing handle, and a helmet form cream jug, with pedestal circular foot with a beaded rim. Together with a sugar sifter, London 1869 by George Adams of Chawner and Co, Old English beaded pattern. The cream, sifter and sugar with bright cut decoration of ferns, each engraved with a crest of a demi-lion rampant holding between the paws a garb. Gilt interiors. Housed in a fitted centrally opening case with a purple aniline dye interior, branded for Stephen Smith 35 King Street Covent Garden. Each fully marked.
