A PAIR OF PALE TURQUOISE 'PEONY' SILK SLEEVE BANDS, LATE QING DYNASTY
China, Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century. The pair finely embroidered in Beijing knot and satin stitch on pale turquoise silk ground, decorated with auspicious flowers and objects, at the center a large peony. The reverse with a label.
Provenance: Austrian private collection.
Condition: Very good condition, little staining, minuscule tears, and loose threads.
Dimensions: Size ca. 103 x 9.5 cm (each)
