Description
Canadian. 1910s. Painted steel with glass lenses (not shown but included). Semaphores provided a visual signal at a distance to allow a locomotive to adjust speed accordingly. The signal could be changed using the coloured lenses at the top of the tower. From the Joe Byway Collection. 40' (h). PLEASE NOTE that this lot is located in Thamesford, Ontario and will require special equipment to be disassembled and transported at the buyer's expense.
