Two Chinese Ancestor Portrait Paintings

Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, includes a large portrait painting, ink and colors on paper, of a female ancestor dressed in a four clawed dragon robe in red with jade belt, she wears an ornate headpiece with kingfisher feathers, pearls, and precious stones, and a portrait painting, ink and colors on silk, of a male ancestor wearing a fur lined winter court robe with a silver pheasant rank badge, identifying him in the fifth civil rank, both paintings have impressive details to their facial features, the man's fingernails, the women's headdress, and the brilliant colors of the court robes, both paintings formally hanging scrolls, now presented in red lacquered bamboo frames, not examined outside of the frame.
