There is crack through the board and paint surface radiating from the centre of the left framed edge to the centre of the work and then forking out in two additional strands - there are some small flakes of associated paint loss along this crack and this damage is visible on the reverse of the work. There is some rubbing to the framed edges. There are some localised areas of fine, stable craquelure, most notably to the centre of the work. Down the left and right edges, there is a line of rubbing which appears to have been retouched in areas. Inspection under UV light reveals retouching to the aforementioned crack through the paint, lines down either side of the work, and some additional small spots of retouching to the framed edges.
