BEN AUSTRIAN (BERKS CO., PENNSYLVANIA, 1870-1921) BARNYARD SCENE WITH HEN AND CHICKS, oil on canvas, finely delineated, featuring nine chicks around mother hen, cracked egg to foreground, signed and dated "Ben Austrian / 1910" lower right. Housed in a 19th-century molded giltwood frame. Dated 1910. 15 3/4" x 19 3/4" sight, 21 1/2" x 25 1/2" OA.
Excellent overall condition, scattered minor areas of inpainting to background at upper right edge. Frame with minor wear and discoloration.
