A very similar vase with drip glaze is pictured in Rookwood's Shape Record Book for shape 107. The notation reads: "Vase, enlarged from Nancy ware model. Sept. 1881. Pressed. All pieces to date (Nov 19, 1883) decorated by Mrs. Nichols."

Condition
Fine overall crazing. Restoration to a U-shaped crack at the rim about 4" long by 2" deep. The restoration itself will stand up to most scrutiny but could stand to be redone. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
