Description
A Chinese blue and white jar dating from the Ming dynasty or early. The shoulder has four handles over a band of vine tracery. The body has a large band featuring a pair of flying dragons over a band of flowers.
Dimensions are: 14 inches tall X 10 inches wide, 35.6 cm X 25.4 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There is age appropriate wear including numerous hairlines to the body and a proliferation of star cracks to the interior. Crazing throughout.
Provenance: From the estate of Lim Kee Chin, who was Singapore's trade commissioner to Hong Kong in the 1960s. Mr. Lim acquired these items while he was in Hong Kong.
