Description
A Chinese blue and white stoneware yuhuchun vase dating from the Yuan or Ming dynasty. The exterior features a pair of phoenixes flying among ruyi clouds. Stylized leaf bands decorate the lower portion of the body and the upper part of the neck. Flame motifs decorate the lower part of the neck. It comes in a box.
Dimensions are: 10 1/4 inches tall X 6 inches wide, 26 cm X 15.2 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There are cracks throughout.
Provenance: From the estate of Lim Kee Chin, who was Singapore's trade commissioner to Hong Kong in the 1960s. Mr. Lim acquired these items while he was in Hong Kong.
