This is superbly decorated double-page map shows mostly today's Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, but extend to Paris and Cologne. It is presented in an oval strapwork border with the cardinal directions enclosed in roundels in the corners. North is to the right. The map is filled with detail of the rivers, villages and towns, forest and marshes. The towns and cities shown include Paris, Amyems (Amiens), Duynkerke (Dunkirk), Brugge(s), Gendt, Antwerp(en), Rotterdam, Ha(u)ge, Delft, Ley(i)den, Amsterdam, Coelen (Cologne), Dover, etc. Cherubs hold the title cartouche aloft with ships and a sea monster embellishing the North Sea.
