Iniz. e fregi xil. Uniformi ma leggere bruniture. Buon esemplare.Il Commentariorum è stato il lavoro principale di Giansenio. Fu un lavoro pionieristico nella storia dell'esegesi cattolica romana. La prima edizione venne pubblicata anche a Louvain, nel 1572. Cornelio Giansenio è stato il primo vescovo della diocesi di Ghent. Fu dottore in teologia e partecipò al Consiglio di Trento. Dal 1562 al 1565 fu presidente del Collegio Teologico dell'Università di Louvain.
