Questa importante opera di botanica teorica e pratica divenne rapidamente un classico e fu tradotto nelle principali lingue. Il primo volume costituisce un completo trattato di fisiologia e anatomia vegetale; il secondo sviluppa soprattutto la parte pratica e riguarda le semenze, gli innesti, le malattie delle piante. First Italian edition. This important work of theoretical and practical botany quickly became a classic and was translated into the main languages. The first volume constitutes a complete treatise on plant physiology and anatomy; the second one mainly develops the practical part and concerns the seeds, the grafts, the plant diseases. Interesting are the numerous tables that represent structure and single parts of plants, roots, flowers, fruits, leaves.
