Quicksand death; dope smugglers; cannibalism ("Fat, juicy leg... tastes delicious!"); innocent man gets the electric chair; floggings; political assassination; man shot in pan; Africans hung upside-down, killed, and dismembered ("Now cut off their arms and legs!"); etc. This mag features one of the few text features in pre-Code comicdom worth reading: a two-page exploration of cannibalism ("Among some tribes it was the practice to sell the corpses of dead relatives for consumption as food"); torture; Satanism ("The demon imprints upon [his followers] some mark... with women, it is usually on the breasts or on the privy parts"); and sadism (including a lurid review of De Sade's "Justine").
