A fine ensemble of 5 pottery jarlets, each presenting a bulbous body, a wide, rounded shoulder, and a narrow, raised rim, all sitting upon a concave base. Boasting intricate blue on white decoration, each dish is skillfully hand-painted with abstract floral or avian motifs. Note the nice marine encrustations that naturally adorn the surface of 2 - a wonderful result from centuries spent on the ocean floor! Size of largest: 3.5" Diameter x 1.9" H (8.9 cm x 4.8 cm)

Chipping to rim of 3. Two mid-size jarlets have been repaired from a few large pieces with restoration over break lines. All have expected minor nicks and abrasions. Otherwise, the other 3 are intact and all are excellent with wonderfully preserved detail and pigments.
