Ancient Greece, Magna Graecia, Italy, Calabria, Tarentum, ca. 302 to 280 BCE. Silver AR Drachm. Obverse: Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with Skylla hurling a stone. Reverse: Owl with folded wings standing right, head facing. Vlasto 1047. SNG ANS 1303; Campania, Neapolis, ca. 270 to 240 BCE. Bronze AE 20mm, Obverse: Head of Apollo to left. Reverse: Man headed bull walking right, Nike above. SG 557; Greco-Egyptian, Ptolemy III, ca. 246 to 221 BCE. Bronze AE 34. Obverse: Head of horned Zeus Ammon to right. Reverse: Eagle standing left on thunderbolt. Cp. Svoronus 965; Syria, Seleucid Kingdom, Antiochus VIII, ca. 121 to 96 BCE. Bronze AE 18. Obverse: Radiate head facing left. Reverse: Eagle standing to left. Sear 7154. Size (largest): 1.3" Diameter (3.3 cm); silver quality: Tarentum 28: 95.8%, Phraates III: 95.1%; collective weight of all: 55.59 grams

Parthian Kingdom, Phraates III, ca. 70 to 57 BCE. Silver AR drachm. Obverse: diademed and draped bust left, wearing tiara decorated with large horn. Archer (Arsakes I) seated right on throne, holding bow. Shore 180 variety.
