Previously restored and relined; appear to be several pieces of canvas vertically pieced together; numerous surface abrasions and losses throughout; signs of inpainting left side (building and ground), lower/mid left (green cloth), upper center (green and tan above and by helmet), lower center (dark area on shield), mid and lower right (area above Eros' head, cloth around waist, by feet and below wing), and upper and mid right (sky and background). Brown stains upper center and mid right. Frame with numerous marks and losses throughout; two holes on right and left sides (probably from previous hanging devices).
