Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Chimu, ca. 1100 to 1470 CE. A lovely gathering of petite artifacts from the ancient Chimu culture carved from either turquoise, greenstone, or nacre (mother-of-pearl). First is a miniature greenstone frog amulet with perforations through the forelegs that flank a pair of bulging eyes. The turquoise frog amulet bears a larger head and body than its counterpart and has a trio of biconical suspension holes drilled widthwise through the body. Last is a rectangular nacre inlay panel that itself is inlaid with 3 greenstone fragments. Size of largest (turquoise frog): 0.92" L x 0.6" W (2.3 cm x 1.5 cm)
