Description
Was obtained as Friedrich Carl Rupprecht (1779-1851) though signature is also consistent with FKLV Rupprecht (1878-1937) and is similar to FKLV's oil titled A Canal in Flanders. Oil on canvas in nice hand carved wood frame. Signed lower left. Scene depicts a village scene with a horse drawn cart pulling a log. From verso painting measures approximiately 39.75 inches wide by 27.75 in high. Outside of frame is 46.75 inches wide by 35 inches high. Condition
Painting shows well. Some damage to lower right corner of painting and a few small paint chips. On verso, four patches seen. Canvas slightly loose in frame. Reviewed un UV light.
