"Sevres" Gilt Bronze Mounted Porcelain Letter Box and Inkstand, late 19th c., the floral painted lifting porcelain lid over a slanted fall front painted with scenes of lovers in a garden, opening to a blue silk lined interior fitted with letter slots and spaces for inkwells, over a floral painted porcelain panel flanked by floral painted porcelain sides, on figural gilt bronze feet, H.- 9 7/8 in., W.- 13 7/8 in., D.- 8 3/4 in. Provenance: The Estate of Carroll Bowers, New Orleans, Louisiana.
