Item Details

Description

This is a great example of a jar from the Thomas Chandler shop of slip trail swag decoration. Fired with an alkaline glaze variation. Beautiful circa mid 19th century pot. Stands 11.75" by 7.25". Not signed, but doesn't decoration is dead ringer.

Condition

The jar has had some restoration to the lip area and there is unfortunate, but similarly professionally restored 4" by 4" section of side base that was obviously hit somehow and then was restored.
