Chinese Ming Dynasty YongLe Ji Blue Porcelain Plate. The plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick and large, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Warm and uniform blue glaze applied to the whole surface, only the upper mouth rim and outer bottom is white glazed. Blue is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. Blue stands for healing, trust and long life. Shades of blue are used to decorate homes for longevity and harmony.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a four under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue flower bloom. Made in The Years YongLe Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
