TAYLOR POORE (AMERICAN, 1905-1974) MID-CENTURY MODERN ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONIST PAINTING, depicting a cityscape, signed on reverse "Taylor Poore". Housed in a simple painted wooden frame. Retains label for "Fine Arts Frame Co. / Chicago". Together with painting attributed to Taylor Poore. Two pieces total. Third quarter 20th century. 23" x 35" sight, 25 1/4" x 37" OA.
Provenance: From the Bill and Nancy Wick Collection, Port Royal, VA.
Catalogue Note: Taylor Poore was a Chicago advertising designer, who attended Oregon State and the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. After working for Modern Advertising, he went on to open his own studio.
