BRASS FIGURAL SEWING CHATELAINE WITH APPENDAGES, tri-form top with central bust depicting Athena with helmet topped by a winged serpent, surrounded by four medallions with a stand, crab, and "O4O", base with a foliage wreath supporting five chains, each with a matching patterned appendage of overall heavy flower and foliage relief decoration, comprising a hand-crank tape measure, a needle case with threaded cap, a sheath with red velvet lining and a pair of German steel scissors, a book-form pincushion with red velvet, and a hexagonal-form thimble bucket with red velvet lining. Retains collection number sticker and detailed collection card. Fourth quarter 19th century. 11 1/2" LOA.
