Tribal Makishi Chokwe Cikunza Male Initiation Mask. A Makishi, a male initiation mask of the Chokwe people in Congo, Zambia. Represents the spirit Cikunza and used in initiation ceremonies. Painted burlap type cloth with fringe attached all around. Mounted on a stand. Acquired in the 1970s. From the collection of Barbara Porter & Robert Wincuinas.
