c. 1680 Late 17th Century Colonial to Recvolutionary War Era, Rare Blacksmith-Forged Iron "Bill" Style Halberd Head, With "JB" Maker's Mark and Spike, Choice Very Fine.
An extremely rare style Blacksmith-Forged Iron Halberd Head that measures about 14" long, its blade being about 9.5". Maker's mark is initials "JB"on the blade (maker unknown). Gorgeous original overall natural even surface deep gray patina. This "Bill" Style Halberd Head being of a design of a Continental style that projects a very intimidating and scary appearance for such a heavy forged piece. Such impressive attributes make this example great for display in any early military weapon collection.
