Rare Civil War Confederate Richmond Virginia Whig & Public Advertiser January 6th 1865 Newspaper. Being published bi-weekly and this is one of the last 4 editions before the Capital of the Confederacy in Richmond was taken by the North and the war ending. Very interesting reading with the souths perspective just days before Richmond was taken. Measures 17-3/4" x 23-1/4" containing 4 printed pages. Condition: Edge wear to spine with the bottom left hand corner having a 2" loss and foxing stains.
