Description
A poster advertising “The Pingree Composite Shoe”, produced by Pingree & Smith of Detroit, Michigan, dating to the late 1800s. Poster reads “A Shoe With A Record” and “Sold By T.B. Royce & Co.” and lists shoe price as “$3.00 per Pair”. The “T” in “T.B. Royce & Co.” was glued over the original letter. Poster was printed by the Calvert Litho Co. of Detroit, MI. Poster is constructed in two halves split horizontally down the center. Poster has creases from being folded as well as some rips along the edge. Bottom half has a large tear measuring 5.5" near the right edge. Bottom edge is slightly stained in the corners. See photos. Measures 54.5” x 42” when two halves are put together. Great advertising item!
