KRAWIEC, Walter (1889-1982). A pair of World War II-era cartoons. Circa 1940s. Pencil and ink on paper drawings depicting various depictions of Death rampaging through a war-ravaged Europe, with the first depicting the Grim Reaper as an anthropomorphized skeleton in a cloak walking across a field of dead bodies while the city of Warsaw burns in the background, and the second Death standing over a dying Germany with sword drawn amidst the country’s ruins. Framed and matted; largest, 18 x 16 ½”. Toning at mat edges of larger drawing. BOTH SIGNED BY ARTIST. Not examined out of frame.
