A good example of this very desirable cap, constructed of black wool with black felt side band, piped in white some of which has been replaced. SS eagle and Totenkopf insignia firmly fixed at front and attached behind the interior lining. A worn black leather chin strap is attached with two black buttons on either side. The chinstrap rests upon the cap’s visor, which is constructed of Vulkanfiber, lacquered on the upper surface with a raised ridge along the brim, the reverse is tan in color with expected cross-hatching. Within, the visor bears a replaced diamond-shaped celluloid sweat shield over golden SS runes with the RZM approval tag, just above another with the owner’s hand-inked name 'Ruff'. The interior also bears evidence of re-stitching. Chipping to the leather sweat band inside, moderate mothing and small tears to the right side under the pipping. Overall good.
