Description
Western/Central Europe, European Bronze Age, ca. 1300 BCE; Late European Bronze Age, ca. 1000 to 750 BCE; Northern/Western Europe, Celtic culture, ca. 900 BCE; Ancient Near East, northwestern Iran and southeastern Turkey, Luristan, ca. 1000 to 600 BCE; Ancient Central Asia, ca. early to late 1st millennium BCE; Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A wonderful collection of ancient bronze weaponry. First is a sickle sword fragment from the European Bronze Age with a curved profile. Next is a Late European Bronze Age copper socketed spear head with golden brown patina. Third is a Celtic sword tip. A set of 5 Luristani bronze arrowheads bear either short tangs or serrated tang tips. Next is a socketed spear head, a lengthy spear tip, and a dagger blade from Central Asia. A trio of Central Asian arrowheads each have lengthy tangs, and a set of 3 Roman arrow tips have bottom cavities meant to hold an arrow shaft. Size of largest (sickle blade): 7.7" L x 1.5" W (19.6 cm x 3.8 cm)
