Brass Souvenir Pieces Off German U-Boat 792 Plaque

Item Details

Description

This is a very impressive and rare plaque displaying brass tags off the German submarine V 792. This U Boat spent the latter part of the war as a test submarine, eventually being scuttled on May 4th, 1945. Someone at that time had the foresight to remove a few choice brass tags and make a plaque to display them on. The wood base measures 8.5 inches tall and 12.25 inches wide. Rare and impressive piece.
