Chinese Yuan Dynasty Tianbai Glaze Porcelain Plum Bottle Vase. This vase has a Chinese traditional YuHuChun shape vessel, the pear shaped bottle, flaring mouth, a spherical abdomen, and a regular vessel shape. Its patterns on the surface are classic, simple, elegant and pretty. Warm and uniform bean celadon glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Celadon is a type of green-glazed Chinese and were among the finest of a range of celadon wares produced in China, and led stylistic and technical developments. The celadons were produced in a range of shades of color, centered on olive-green, but extending to greenish blues and browns. Green in Chinese culture, green stands for cleanliness and purity from contamination. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
