Small Oil Painting of Romantic Greek Roman Couple 1893. A tiny portrait depicting a couple, dressed in classical Greek or Roman clothing, walking through a garden, pausing to smell a flower. Dated on the back, 1893. Who knows whether the artist painted figures from ancient mythology or a contemporary couple, nevertheless the scene has a certain ethereal quality to it.
