Redware pottery vessel in the form of a dog standing on all fours and supporting a large bowl emerging his back, with a wide, incised grin with perked ears and rounded eyes.This is the Xoloitzcuintli hairless dog, still popular in Mexico today.Size: 10 inches (25.5 cm) ,x: 14 3/8 in (36.5 cm) length Intact, ear repaired.Ex Private collection, New York, acquired at Wilson Galleries, Santa Fe.
