Ed Moses (1926-2018) American, 1970's Abstract WC; Signed, titled, and dated. Moses took his first art class at Long Beach with Pedro Miller, then transferred to University of California at Los Angeles in 1949. He became a technical illustrator in an aircraft factory. He also did a series of coastal architectural drawings and his affinity for grids became obvious. He later got into more sensual subject matter and in the 1970s worked in translucent resins. Characteristic of his technique is that he seldom uses a brush, but instead works by staining, knifing, splashing and mopping and achieves his lines by using tap and snap lines.Overall Size: 29 1/4 x 36 1/4 in.Sight Size: 25 x 32 in.
