Description
This is a very rare pair of carved wooden idols from the Ahka Hill tribes of Northern Thailand. This pair of wooden spirit figures were collected on the Thailand / Burmese border in 1992. They were acquired from the village headman who removed them from his own shrine, they are legitimate ritual examples. The tallest idol measures 11 inches tall. Provenance: Collected in situ 1992. Private New England collection.
