A carved wooden mask with finely carved face and detailed headdress. The mask has an undeniable well handled and worn surface patina suggesting generations of fied use as a ceremonial object. Luba / Zela peoples, DRC/ Congo, central Africa. The mask measures 12 inches. A metal display stand can be included for an additional $50.00. This mask was collected in the 1960's by Rev. Lawson Mooney, Director of the catholic AID agencies, DRC / CONGO, central Africa.
