Description
A Chinese famille rose jardiniere dating from the late 19th century. The body depicts an eagle and a chicken in a flowery landscape. One side of the jardiniere has an inscription.
Dimensions are: 13 inches tall X 15 1/2 inches wide, 33 cm X 39.4 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The hole on the bottom has been filled in. There is a crack to the bottom of the interior. There are glaze chips throughout. A large firing defect is present on the interior.
Provenance: From a private New York City collection.
