Description
5th-3rd century BC. A group of terracotta fragments comprising part of the upper torso, neck, head and face of a female figure with detailing in high-relief, wearing a pleated garment, necklace, wavy hair with ringlets falling on the shoulders, and with delicate facial features, slender brows, long nose and almond-shaped eyes; hollow reverse. 157 grams total, 7-11.2cm wide (2 3/4 - 4 1/2"). Acquired before 1990. From an old German collection. With a UK gallery. Property of an English gentleman. [2, No Reserve]
