Nineteenth Century. Of ovoid form with ivory rim and cover, carved in relief with two panels of mountain river landscape scenes alternating with two panels of bamboo and a fruiting plant, within geometric borders and all in red on a black trellis diaper flowerhead ground, the cover pierced with seven openings edged in horn and revealing a stepped square pattern. H: 4.75 in., Diam.: 3 in.
