This ninth plate ambrotype features a young toddler clad in a fine plaid-print dress. The child looks directly at the camera and managed not to squirm. Of interest are the objects in her hands, which appear under magnification to be a small glass bottle and a cork or lid. While children were often given props to distract them or keep them still, the objects are usually small toys or dolls - not bottles! Condition of this image is near mint, and it is housed in half of a leatherette case.
