An original 1960 silver gelatin photograph titled "Line of Trees" by Henri Cartier-Bresson (France, 1908-2004) depicting a landscape composition with lines of trees at The Palais Royal Gardens in Paris, France. Presented in a silver frame. Signed in pen on verso of matte and signed and inscribed on verso "A Marty avec le reconnaissance d Henri C-B". Sight: 9" x 6.5"
Condition
Good condition. From the estate of Marty Forscher. Marty Forscher was a renowned camera repair and custom feature designer in NYC. He started at 7 years old working at a camera repair shop. He repaired cameras for wartime reporters during WWII, he invented many features that would later become standard features on high end cameras, in example he created the time release mechanism used by the astronauts on the moon landing mission so that all 4 astronauts could be in the picture. He owned "Professional Camera Repair" and worked with many of the most renowned photographers and this was given in appreciation of the work he did for the photographer.
