A signed color photograph titled "Umbrellas" by Ruth Orkin (American, 1921-1985) depicting a flood of umbrellas on a wet street with protest signs throughout. Presented in silver frame. Signed copyright Ruth Orkin 1978 on verso. Sight: 9" x 13.25"
Condition
Good condition with minor discoloration to paper. From the estate of Marty Forscher. Marty Forscher was a renowned camera repair and custom feature designer in NYC. He started at 7 years old working at a camera repair shop. He repaired cameras for wartime reporters during WWII, he invented many features that would later become standard features on high end cameras, in example he created the time release mechanism used by the astronauts on the moon landing mission so that all 4 astronauts could be in the picture. He owned "Professional Camera Repair" and worked with many of the most renowned photographers and this was given in appreciation of the work he did for the photographer.
