Lithographed cadastral map with some outline coloring. On sheet 55x157 cm (21¾x61¾").
Map apparently issued by the Redington Quicksilver Company, showing the ownership of land and mineral rights, the historic Rancho Chimiles and Rancho Las Putas, Putah Creek and various tributaries, the towns of Monticello and Knoxville, etc. Much if not most of the area shown is now covered by Lake Berryessa, formed when the Monticello Dam was completed in 1957. Among the owners of the properties shown are James D. Phelan, A.W. Foster, F.E. Johnston, Thomas Dwyer, M.Z. Gehringer, the Julia M. Coleman Estate, Geo. W. Chapman, the Lake Mining Company, and others. We can find no examples listed in OCLC.
Condition
Some staining and other wear, a few spots of adhesions damage, short tears, tender along the folds, occasional repairs; overall very good.
