DESCRIPTION: Pair of square, enameled, porcelain vases each with handles shaped like a foo dog's face holding a ring in its mouth. Two sides of each vase are decorated with images, and the other two sides of each vase is decorated with calligraphic script. Three of the image sides depict domestic or court scenes; the final side depicts two lions amid four flames. One of the pieces has been drilled on the underside for conversion into a planter or a lamp.
