Yi Apron, China, Early to Mid 20th C. Woman's apron of cotton tabby cloth with U-shaped band embroidered in silk, bordered with silk ribbons, and broad hem section of embroidered repeat in grid outlined with couched foil. Cotton tabby cloth, silk thread, foil, seed beads; embroidery, foil. Yi People, Southern Yunnan Province, Malipo County, China. Size: 20'' x 41'', (51 x 104 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
